I have been frequenting with the SO at a german's ( ) place because he has kick ass food but more importantly amazing beer at reasonable prices

I was wondering how to you call that sort of beer that is "foggy"?
Like it is semi-fermented? The processing is like it has stopped in the middle. It's delicious and has a very rich taste. It isn't totally blond, it definitely isn't lagger, it isn't black. It's sort of foggy.
I tried to remember the name but it is impossible it's too german.

unfiltered, possibly hefeweisen

usually one of my favorites

plus you get your vitamins from the yeast they didn't filter out, it's like liquid marmite

Bit of a trend in English beer to try and have more unfiltered, just became fashionable to have 'clear' beers.

Sounds like Hefeweizen. And yes, it's good stuff, in particular when it's hot outside.
