Well at least it's honest.

New York subway system can be a bit intimidating at first, and the locals do rush around so you might feel the pressure of someone right behind you in line getting ever more impatient.

 Understatement

On the Underground in London I'm the worst of both worlds. Know slightly more than a tourist and get frustrated and annoyed by them but am slow and unsure enough to annoy a resident.

Whereas after all these years I can slip effortlessly into resident mode whenever I visit - I actually look forward to my trips on the underground whenever I go back...:bounce:

You're even worse than me, you don't know how annoying you are ;)

Basically if you don't have an Oyster card and slow someone down by a microsecond by having to stick your ticket through the slot rather than beeping through (some) people will tut in frustration or change lanes behind you.

But I do have an oyster card!

In fact I have two because I forgot it once...:D

I think we were tourists with oyster cards, so I guess only slightly less annoying than normal tourists. My wife still had some Underground skills.

...and better than squid?
