Tarantino's latest genre movie - the western.

Pretty good fun, if overly long and a little slow in places...

7/10

I liked it a lot, and yes it's full of other movies references but it's still awesome.
Love to see how academy awards still hate Di Caprio tho

tarantino's lack of father is cartoonishly entertaining in every one of his films.
That's where all this blood/gore super macho heroes come from.
Django (brutal in a cartoonishly splatter way) aims mainly at pleasing tarantino himself i think that's why he doesnt care about the film's pace.
constitutes artistic integrity which even if it is ballbreaking at some instances, it's still acceptable because he is so talented.

(also everyone acted greatly imo)

oscars have lost credibility like the nobels seeing as they didnt include masterpieces of human in depth insight films and socially provoking and TRUE such as the crash.

erm i just read that the crash actually won 3 oscars heh :o

i remember reading that it didnt won any but imdb says it did.
if it did, very ritghfully so ( and always should double check sources :o )

I agree. Not bad at all, and I quite liked the first part, basically up to when Schulz shoots DiCaprio. After that, the last 1 or 1.5 hour or so is pretty stupid: a brainless revenge 'story' a la Kill Bill with less of a plot or a point than the average Van Damme or Seagal movie.
