I actually watched the british? commentary on the Juve game and was amused at the amount of hate for italy

I doubt it could be greater than the amount Juve receives in Italy too!

Not from commentators tho!

Who were the commentators/what channel?

20-02-2013, 16:38:15
It was on ITV. Can't remember the commentator name, could look it up I suppose but it's not a big deal.
I was just surprised at how far the amount of "our good lads against those dirty foreigners" stuff went.

If a match is on ITV I will think very carefully about watching it because the commentary and punditry is so bad.

Premier League - best league in the world.

26-03-2013, 11:21:24
What's happening to Reading btw?

26-03-2013, 12:01:00
Russian Ogliarch bought half the club, sacked a good manager at a crazy time of year - too late for new guy to do anything this season realistically.

They have brought in another good manager, who is maybe a bit more progressive, plays nice passing football rather than the press and hoof Reading have done recently. Could be a positive change for the club if they support him build a team in the championship in the next year or two.

However the main reason Reading were playing like that was because of the very limited personnel available. McDermott had done a great job with very little money. Took a not great Championship side to somehow win the Championship and then spent no money to strengthen it but still not doing too badly in the Premiership despite that. If they don't give Adkins money we'll probably progress fairly slowly... which isn't the end of the world. Championship is still a great league.

Next season we'll probably need 2 new central defenders, new central midfield, a new striker.
