If you can't beat them, join them: I'm now in Dresden in a quest to become more like Vinnie and his buddies. So far, it's raining all the time and the locals speak something that sounds weird but is understandable - not all that different from Groningen I guess. But the beer is good and cheap, and with German quantities in restaurants and doner places, I expect to gain a kilo or 10 in the next year.

And being back in an office with regular internet probably gives me time to spam you a bit more often than I did over the last months. Shit happens.

Wrong Lederhosen, then.

If Saxony doesn't work out for me, I might try the Lederhosen area next. One thing Bavaria already wins points on: one litre beers vs half a litre beers.

Funko in Munich : "I feel really drunk but we've only had 2 beers with lunch."

Sounds familiar. It also makes it much more fun to convince people to have just one more beer.

While another 0.2l is just sad.

On the other hand it's easy for the waiters in Dutchland, you just order your next beer when they bring you the first one. And they don't have time to get warm.

Dyl Ulenspiegel

That's certainly a good thing; who'd want a warm durch waiter?

They are so tall their heads are covered in snow.

It's a sad world. Their beers are bigger, and in a few hours they're probably going to kick our ass in football as well.

0-0 The Dutch and Deutch are both equally useless.

And just to vent a bit: WHAT KIND OF IDIOT PLAYS RUBEN SCHAKEN IN THE DUTCH TEAM??:?

There's a reason he was at teams like Veendam and VVV until he was 28 or so.
