Again the curse of picking the wrong player to be captain strikes again. Picked Berbatov, but the other Man Utd players in my team get more points this time around: Nani and Van Der Sar, with Edwin getting an assist. I was at the game last night and can't believe Nani got bonus points when Giggs played so much better.

Anyone else remember they could use a second Transfer Wildcard inbetween Gameweeks 22 and 25? I see Notyoueither's making late dash for the title!

I just used it.

This is a ridiculous season, I can't get anything right.

It has been a strange season for sure. Chelsea players being basically useless. Bolton forwards being so good for so long. Tottenham midfielders being great value. Sunderland fullbacks being the bargain pick to date. Lord alone knows how I have managed to get to 2nd. I think missing a few weeks worth of transfers have helped. Somehow.

Chelse players being basically useless?

You mean :

Having the second highest scoring keeper, the second highest scoring defender, the second highest scoring midfielder and the third highest scoring forward?

Rubbish.

Who's going to make space for Torres? Anelka?

Rubbish. They were useless every time I bought them. :(

One assumes so.

Much speculation whether they maintain 3 up front or play Torres and Drogba as a pair.

And I have missed making any changes for the last 6 weeks or so, so I'm out of the running. Esp as I'll likely be missing more weeks for a while. So not going to bother. Shame, cos it was looking like a nice race at the top.

122 points in the Gameweek just gone, wow. Picked Drogba as captain hoping Torres wouldn't start both games and that paid off (what price Torres next season??!!) as did bringing in Seb Larsson - 2 goals in 2 games. Didn't expect that. Not counting my chickens before they've hatched but i look odds on for my first Counterglow league ever, but dare i say it, have people lost interest in it a bit this season?

The website's taking ages to update the final scores and league tables. Should all be ready tomorrow though.

I can't believe I managed to hang onto 3rd spot despite not making a change since GW 26. Laziness FTW!

Er, well, FTCL maybe...

Judging from the last gameweek transfers made it seems not. It's on par as other seasons imo, always happen a bit for those not in the hunt anymore.

And btw, congrats

I was still playing hard at the end of the season... points at stake in my other leagues anyway just wish I hadn't had such a bad start.

I saw you were still making changes and moving up the league a bit and Not youeither did his usual strategy of making a lot of money early on and getting more gameweek points as the season progressed.
This season seemed to feature lots of players having spells of either really good form or fallow periods and those that did well had them in when in form and decided to transfer them out when rubbish or injured. Good examples of this would be Tim Cahill, Malouda, Bale, Chamakh, Elmander and Andy Carroll in the season's opening months with Kuyt, Van Persie and Maxi Rodriguez getting good scores this side of Christmas.
