The movie broke canon.

Finally got around to seeing it. Couldn't pick anything that broke canon, but then it has been a while since I read the books.

It might be the best of the series so far. And I know I'm saying this after Mobius' review, but I just want to add that Mobius liked Salt. :)

Ahoy! Thar be spoilers ahead!

My only complaint was the scene where Dobby(Sp?) rescued them from the Deatheaters. I can't remember exactly what happened in the book, but I think it was wormtail who let them out. Maybe Dobby was involved. Regardless, I hated it. It was the worst kind of Deus Ex Machina. Dobby's death shortly thereafter was predictable because you can't have suspense when a magic elf can show up out of nowhere and whoop all of the bad guys' collective asses with a snap of his fingers.

Oh and Harry Potter dies in the next movie.

Yeah, no tags for you.

HP7 was boring childish tosh. We were promised character deaths.

The main reason it was so boring was the fact that the last part has been clearly stretched out so they can cash in on two films instead of one.

The difference with Salt is that it was fun childish tosh.

Look, there's no justification for liking Salt. Just none. :p

It was intended to be a humorous cliche statement. How many movies have you seen that stuck tight to what was in the books? Yet people get mad about it and rage on the internet. :p Just saw last year's movie, and not this one, so yeah, mostly just a smartass.

Although, the original True Grit was pretty good at following the book.

Also, I think low initial expectations is a perfectly good reason for liking Salt.
