My wife and a friend spent 7 days in Berlin and refused to try currywurst.
What did they miss?

A very very nice sausage, mild mild wimpy curry.
I don't understand this not trying thing...but then I would probably even try lutefisk ( a very very very tiny bit mind you! )

"Surströmming (pronounced [ˇsʉːʂtrømːiŋ], "soured (Baltic) herring") is a northern Swedish dish consisting of fermented Baltic herring. It is similar to kusaya. Similar fish is made world wide.[1] Surströmming is sold in cans, which often bulge during shipping and storage, due to the continued fermentation. When opened, the contents release a strong and sometimes overwhelming odour, which explains why the dish is often eaten outdoors."

I was told in one of my anthropology classes that the only creatures that eat a wider range of "food" are pigs and bears. :provost:

Sausage and fries with a tomatoey sauce and curry powder sprinkled on the top.

Surströmming is lovely, it's one of the nicest foods on earth. Complex, deep, subtle fish flavours, like a fine wine of the aquatic world.

Well not having sex with each other I take it. Perhaps you should analyse this situation and see if there is a steamy love affair taking place behind your back (or behind the iron curtain, you could say).

But on a more serious note, currywurst is fine, hardly a phal though mind you ;)

There's a bucket of Popeye's in the other room.

This yankee has to agree on the Bojangles thing. Spicy chicken, buttermilk biscuits, sweet tea, and then more sweet tea and cinnamon biscuits. Wish they had them in Maryland.
