OK so maybe I should read the thread titles a bit more closely.

So, have we got a league this year?

Resource Consumer

OK - found it

Crap, I haven't even bothered with this yet and I expect I have till 11am tomorrow morning to sort it - not to mention I'm out on the piss tonight...

I may as well not bother again...:o

Try the "join after week 1" technique! worked really well for Drekkus one year (until he forgot his password). You find out who of the new players is playing etc. and don't have to waste points on transfers getting all the bargain players in before they go up in value.

Still scratching my head wondering who to select to start with. He's injured, he may start on bench and never come on, he's not fit, he had a crap pre-season, he's too expensive compared to last season etc....

Drogba falls in to all these categories and yet is still away with a hat-trick...

Marlon Harewood, what a bargain, what a bargain!

Funko

A respectable start but I've made 4 changes.

what happened to fabregas?

Funko

Just not match fit apparently.

I have culled him.

the injury info through the fantasy website is really crap. it's very frustrating trying to make a last minute call on a saturday morning when seemingly no-one will tell you a realistic starting line-up

for example n'zogbia this week: wtf
barely mentioned in the news that he was left out because he wasn't 'mentally ready to play'? so will he play next week? who knows?

Funko

Yeah, the injury stuff is rubbish on there. I pretty much ignore the yellow flags on players, if they are red that tends to be more reliable.

I sold him too.

Rather annoyed that neither of my 'keepers played! Not to mention that I ignored one of my favourite players from last year, Malouda! :bash:

I think for the first time ever I am head of the table! Thanks Malouda.

Won't last.

Probably one of Chelsea's easiest games of the season that though. Although seeing how dreadful Wigan were on Saturday it wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea hammer them this weekend. Quite glad i didn't see Drogba in anyone's line up!

Funko

Be interesting to see how many line-ups he's in this weekend though...

Shit, I forgot to do this...:bash:

Do it now! As I said before:

Try the "join after week 1" technique! worked really well for Drekkus one year (until he forgot his password). You find out who of the new players is playing etc. and don't have to waste points on transfers getting all the bargain players in before they go up in value.

I intend to. If I remember...

Funko

Hence DO IT NOW.

Yes, please join. At least that'll mean I'm rid of my shameful last place for a week or two.

I am considering using my wildcard.

Walrus Feeder
29-08-2010, 11:35:10
I just have used my wildcard. With Lampard out with a hernia, Van Persie too much of any injury concern and not wanting to fall further behind when Drogba and Malouda get a hatful of points against West Ham and Blackpool in coming weeks i've brought them in. Yes, they've gone up 0.6 between them but it should be worth it. Come the next matches after the international break it'll mean we'll all probably have them in!

Funko
29-08-2010, 13:04:32
I brought them in week 1, lost 16 points but got them before they went up.

Beta1

Oh yes, top of the league.

Walrus Feeder

Anyone else realise the only team to keep a clean sheet today were Blackpool? .....and they were away. Unpredictable times in the fantasy football. Lots of injuries, players rested or not played for various reasons, testing times in managing your squad.

Picking british players only this year has been a pain in the arse. They are dropping like flies.
Rooney, Lampard, Walcott, Bent... and now even Terry.

Mybe I jinxed them :nervous:

Funko
16-11-2010, 12:59:26
And after they were so good in the world cup too...

Fistandantilus

Indeed, I had very high expectations.

I can't believe I was leading for three or four weeks! At least normal service has been resumed now!

Funko

My team is shit.

What with me at the top - that hasn't happened for about 7 years!

Let's add Gerrard to the injury list. Jesus.

Mr. Bas

I'm slowly and steadily climbing up the table. Thank you, Rafael van der Vaart!

So did anyone have Berbatov? Or of more interest, did anyone transfer him out before Saturday? Still a close league this one.
