View Full Version : Is there a human rights law to being forced to admit one's DLs?

Asher

Plomp is giving me 4 hours to admit to all of my DLs on the other site, or face a ban. :(

Time to tell the world you are Ben.

Asher

I've admitted to being Ben Kenobi, DinoDoc, OzzyKP, and Serb so far.

I admit this is my favorite DL

Damn you Asher, you made me go there. I have to say, though, it was worth it to get a first hand look at some of the finest trolling I've ever seen. That Ben dude is a pro.

I got banned by Plompie for saying that Ben should be banned - apparently I was guilty of trying to hound him out of the site or some such nonsense...:D

Asher
30-06-2010, 15:12:55
He said you said he should be dead. I didn't see that part though.

Self-policing by site members is bannable/harassment? Awesome.

I knew Asher would make a thrade here about this :p

He said you said he should be dead. I didn't see that part though.

That's because I didn't actually say that. The implication could be there, I suppose, but there is less implication that I think Ben should be dead than the fact that Ben is a homophobe or a racist, and yet I am the one that is banned!

People do forget that Plompie is the European Ben, after all...

Ah, the other place. Haven't been there in years, but I just had a quick look. To my surprise, I saw that our local Dutch fundamentalist CyberShy is now a mod. Also the place doesn't seem to be owned by Mark and Dan. Summary?

Oh yes, almost forgot.

CyberShy is the owner of the site. He is the Plomp.

MikeH is a moderator of the OTF.

Mr. Bas

Ah, CyberShy owns the place now. That makes some sense, I couldn't imagine anyone sane appointing him as a mod.

Or MikeH for that matter.

Asher

I'm having the most bizarre PM conversation with him.

He really, really wants to know my DLs and wants to discuss the "terms" for continuing the DLs on a "new site".

So, naturally, I discussed payment options and rates (both per-post and per-month rates) and he seems to be confused...

He said you said he should be dead. I didn't see that part though.

Well, that's just the logical conclusion to MOBIUS's suggestion :D

It all goes to crap when that MikeH is away.

You're trying to imply that he actually does something useful?

MOBIUS

I noticed the post count here dwindled to virtually zero - if the Dutchies hadn't have beaten the Brazilians at football this place would have been declared officially dead!

we've been officially undead for years.

I'm going to have to assume this is a clumsy 100-0 attempt, so Own Goal, Greg!:p

Greg W

No, that was sarcasm. :p

Though to be honest, I can't remember what the "D" stands for. :clueless:

Totally. DL is a retarded phrase. As if anyone would have only 2 logins!!

Problem is remembering which ones are yours and what the passwords are.

Funko

I can't believe anyone wouldn't just use the same password for every AE.

My brain can't handle the concept. Why would you use a different password? It's hard enough remembering who you've registered let alone what their password might be.

Lurker
05-07-2010, 15:48:58
I thought that would make it easier for mods to trace, no? Anyway, I think I just made the password the same as the username, but then somehow you couldn't do that any more.

Funko
05-07-2010, 15:50:51
Mods?! WTF?

Mods? Tracing?

Can I have some of whatever he's on please? Seems like a real trip!

You should never have more than one password ever. The same password you thought up 10 years ago must be the password you use for everything requiring a password until the end of time.

Greg W
06-07-2010, 01:39:40
Especially when you have given your password to your best mate (so he can play your MMORPG character), your ex-wife (when she was still your wife) and unthinkingly to your girlfriend (so she can log onto your laptop).

Koshko
06-07-2010, 02:35:43
It works even better if the wife and the girlfriend happened at the same time.
