View Full Version : what happens in Vegas

ok, let's face it, it's very unlikely that I draw any wisdom from the pool of incompetent misfits this site represents, but any good places for a fun time in Vegas to recommend?

Caveats: I don't gamble (bores me stiff), love food and naked women, and don't exactly swim in money.

I'm going with my corp. (500 wankers, a lot of old Partners) but there will be plenty of times to sneak away

do your worst

I've been to Las Vegas in 2006 with the gf. Food was bland, and no experience with naked women beyond the gf, sorry.

The thing we liked best was a trip to the grand canyon. We bought a package on the strip including flight, helicopter (down the canyon) and rafting.

You already got married, right? Vegas is great for that. :D

Outside the strip there's not much to do. So either gambling or a show for all I know. But like Dyl I was there with my girlfriend/wife, so no nekkid hot stuff for me.
I do remember flyers about a shooting range just outside Vegas, were you could shoot about every gun possible just short of a tank. Maybe your cheese eating surrender monkey ass could do a little target practice.

Don't you just HATE it when you have to agree with Roland?
Yeah, the Grand Canyon is way cool. And now there is this: http://www.grandcanyonskywalk.com/skywalk.html

Have a good time in Lost Wages.

uh yeah. they just started construction when we were there IIRC.

Would have been perfect for pantscrapping.

31-05-2010, 18:38:37
Is that 'pant scrapping' or 'pants crapping'?
German is not one of my two and a half languages.

'pant scrapping', of course

stare at flashing lights on slot machines.
watch superbowl (if at correct time of year)
get drunk.
fly to grand canyon....think it's small.
wear tuxedo pretending to get married.

Well, if you like Naked Women, I suggest respectfully and with an open spirit finding an equal whom you befriend, perhaps eventually fall in love with, who then might eventually feel comfortable enough to be naked with you.

An alternative, if you prefer desexualised nudity - and who really wants to think only of women's bodies as sexual objects only, eh? ridiculous - is to find an appropriate naturist organisation to visit.

Vegas has seen a lot of high end/high profile restaurants open in the past few years, but you need to be prepared to spend big bucks. Joel Robuchon has a restaurant there now and Guy Savoy opened one that is run by his son. There are a great number of high end restaurants in the new City Center -- rather than list them, check out www.citycenter.com

I can't vouch for any of them, but Vegas has lost its reputation as a desert for foodies.

I recommend Mesa Grill. I also suggest hitting up the pricier restaurants for lunch as evening meals seem to be more expensive.

01-06-2010, 15:57:05
I'll be at the Wynn hotel, seems to have good tables

I won't try Robuchon in Vegas, he's cheaper in Paris (at lunch time, indeed)

I'll probably go for an upmarket steakhouse, I like that

I have some friends who liked Stripsteak -- it's in one of the good hotels, not sure which one.

01-06-2010, 21:31:07
Strip -steak, that sounds like a good combo.

01-06-2010, 21:59:14
Yaaay I hate a steak with panties

You don't want your steak smelling like tuna! Well, unless it's a tuna steak...

Check out Bellagio's all you can eat lunchtime buffet!:vuvu:

The Star Trek thing at the Hilton is a laugh - Quark's bar is free to anyone, whereas the actual 'Experience' is a bit tired and slightly crappy.
