The Coen brothers most recent effort.

Less funny and less coherent than their best films, but still full of the typical Coen brothers quirkyness and characters. I could imagine it might frustrate a lot of people, but i enjoyed it.

Me too. Nothing outstanding but quite stylish. A man lurching from one crisis to another and enjoying the odd minor victory. I particularly liked the open ending. A lot of the Jewish symbolism will be lost on a lot of people, as much of it was with me.

I think I saw it last year when it came out

flashes are emerging from the pudding of my memory
I probaly can recall half of it

I think I agree with you

dunno why, my mind is now associating it with Revolutionary Road

well as i was watching it i was thinking i have seen a lot of films set in the fifties/sixties lately about people having personal crises - this, Rev. Road and A Single Man (this name not helping either) and even bits of The Hours.
