From wiki:

WinCo Foods is an employee-owned supermarket business headquartered in Boise, Idaho. The company's name was decided by the employees both in the stores and the distribution centers in a contest to rename the company, settling on "WinCo," which stands for "winning company". Some employees of the company suggested that the name be an acronym for the five states in which the company operates its seventy stores: Washington, Idaho, Nevada, California and Oregon, but the first suggestion won in a vote.[2]

Thank goodness they didn't name it after the states they operate in... else it might me called... uh... InCow?
