Today marks the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s release from prison and the hope that brought.

Yesterday I saw Clint Eastwood’s Invictus, starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, the Springboks captain. I thought it was an excellent film capturing as it did the need for reconciliation and togetherness between the Whites and the Blacks, and the use of the 1995 Rugby World Cup to achieve that.

What do we have 20 years on? Jacob Zuma.:(
