Three 7 week-old Golden Himalayans, pedigree bred. In fact their pedigree looks like something out of Norfolk- they've only got 4 Great-great-grandparents.

I had pet rats as a kid. They were actually very smart and easy to train though the little bastards did like pissing and shitting on everything including their own food.

That's two inbreeding strikes against them. What does the pedigree look like? Did their grandparents have names?

Lazarus and the Gimp

Well, Cali, if they didn't have names and the pedigree just read "Rat", "Rat", "Rat" etc, it would have been trickier to make this discovery.

Three girls- never owned does before. It's amazing how much their personalities differ from bucks.

A few year's back I had a wild rat problem in my backyard due to the bird feeder. Got rid of the feeder and that pretty much got ride of the rats except for one which I found in the bushes while doing some gardening. The thing climbed halfway up the wooden fence, ran along the beam, and then crawled into the BBQ via one of the air vents. I quickly taped those air holes up to keep the bastard in there but I knew if I opened the top up he'd escape so I just turned the BBQ on and fried the little fucker.

I later cleaned out his little burned corpse and eventually gave the BBQ to my neighbor when I bought a new one. ;)

Must admit that I have never really gotten the whole rats/ferrets as pets deal. Had mice once as a kid, that was bad enough. They stunk to high heaven though. :gasmaske:

To each their own though, best of luck with them.

Unlike most rodents, rats are highly intelligent and become genuinely affectionate to their owners. Once they're fully hand-tamed, they want to come out to play.

Oerdin

Yeah, my sister and I would make this clicking noise when we called them and the rats were smart enough to learn that the clicking sound meant "come here". They'd come running to you from the other side of the room when they heard that clicking noise hoping you'd give them a cheerio. The only thing I couldn't get them to stop doing was peeing on everything when they got excited and, being rodents, they got excited about a lot of things. :gasmaske:

Well, shit, for all I know they have some special numbering system for rat pedigrees. So...what were their names?
