Amazing opening game with Angola/Mali!

Inappropriate jokes already?

Do you think Adebayor ran the length of the bus to celebrate in front of the gunners?

AMAZING quarter-final with Algeria and the Ivory Coast. Algeria had the spirit, the Ivorians the quality but no desire, and the Algerians JUST won out in the end after a fantastic goal by Keita - goal of the year, probably - in the 89th minute, an equaliser in the 90+1st, and a new Algeria goal in the 92nd.

Awesome. I read in the papers that Algeria were doing shit and yet were in the quarter-final.:clueless:

Up yours Drogba!

They were very good in the quarter-final, though. Not much individual flair but a very solid team effort and a great passing game.

just the kind of thing to cause England trouble at the WC

Are you hosting it then? Otherwise, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

The Egypt game was well ruined by an awful referee, who mistakenly awarded a goal when the ball never touched the line and hacked the game up with no sense of flow.

Kameroon looked great, they would have beaten any other side I think.

Zambia-Nigeria game, the less said the better I guess. Neither team pushed forward, Zambia coz they were crap and scared and Nigeria coz they were overconfident and kept passing the ball sideways... Much like any mismatched big-tournament game really.

Bright point: Zambia had a really, really good 16-year-old fullback, Mbola. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in a bigger club soon.

sooo....

the third time in a row African Champion National Team won't go to the 1st african-hosted WC

they've beaten Cameroon in QF, Algeria (who eliminated them from the WC) in the semi, and Ghana in the final
All those three will go to the WC, alongside 3rd placed Nigeria, and Ivory Coast who lost to Algeria in QF

How can it be the third time in a row if it's the first one?
