I'm guessing a lot of CG-ers will be off work today, which means nobody will be posting here.

I saw it on the BBC yesterday, worst snow in 30 years. You've got it worse then we have.

There's a little bit of snow here too. However this place won't grind to a standstill because of it.

The problem is getting back home tomorrow. I hope all the airports don't end up closing, or I'll be screwed.

I have spent the last hour shovelling snow off the road. I am a man.

I think it snowed once or maybe twice last Century in Sydney. Certainly zero times this millennium to date.

At work, even though it is a 'red' day. Haven't really done any work yet... don't feel like video games though.

I'm on leave anyway,

I still wandered to work, about 40 mins, to go to the gym,
wandered back, but surprised how many people weren't there.... slackers the lot of em (weren't even any gym staff there).

In my day we didn't have any excuse not to walk up to 12 hours to get to work, carrying a pig.

mr_B
06-01-2010, 16:04:08
we use the pig for transport

Another day off for me - school buses are not running and as 80% of our kids come in by bus that makes opening the school a little pointless.

Hopefully this will give a boost to more people working from home or even elearning for kids.

Made it to work today, although driving over the Mendips was a bit of a white knuckle ride.

I was also hugely amused to get out of my estate behind my neighbour's MX5, watching her pull off a spectacular series of 1 mph powerslides in order to turn corners.

84.2 and sunny in the city, getting out to 96 in the west today. Maybe we should ship some of our heat to the UK, I just heard there's snow forecast for the next 4 days there.
