Wedding venue. It took place at 1 Whitehall Place, and to describe it as "posh" would be a staggering understatement. I was fighting off urges to tug my forelock and grovel all weekend.

Missing a hat.

It was indoors. Only the lower orders and ladies wear hats indoors.

You do look uncannily like your avatar though

I recognize that facial expression from many videos.

The woman behind you looks like she spent 3 hours on her hair to get it to look that good.

Wow... I can only begin to imagine what that wedding might have cost.

Really? never could tell the difference between 'hours spent preparing' and 'just got out of bed'

It is hours meant preparing to get the 'just got out of bed' look.

I spend about eight hours a night nailing that look down.

If you mean the long-haired blonde, she was a bridesmaid. Lovely girl- all the kids adored her.

One hell of a lot. It's three houses down from Big Ben, they used the entire top floor (including the Churchill Room and the Gladstone Library), and the main course in the reception was chunks of fillet steak 4 inches thick.

So, must be friends of your wife then?

Mrs Gimp's cousin was the bride. The groom is "someone in the City".

Incidentally, he looks like the lovechild from a mating between Gordon Ramsay and Boris Johnson.

Depends which bits of each he gets I suppose, but I can imagine his look. 200 of them on every train I get during Henley Regatta.

The "just got out of bed" look never really caught on for men. In the venues I frequent, you never see anyone modelling morning breath, a stunned expression, bleary eyes and an impressive erection.
