I finally got around to watching this series and it's better then I thought it would be. Sure, it's a more then a bit naff (African blacks as knights in 12th century England? A member of Robin's band who is both an Arab and a Muslim?) but some how the easy going nature of the show over comes such things. All in all a solid B grade show.

A member of Robin's band who is both an Arab and a Muslim?

Same as in the Kevin Costner film.

No, the Kevin Costner film was ten times worse. Every time he spoke with that midwestern accent I cringed.

I loved when he walked from Southampton to Nottingham in less than a day.

Via Newcastle, no less...

Doesn't look like the town I grew up in, but it could be a heightened section of Offa's Dyke I suppose.

Yeah it's funny when you know the area a movie is shot in. You'll catch all of those 'that's impossible to travel in that amount of time' moments. It's also funny when they clearly didn't shoot the city that they say they are in. You'll catch all of those 'that doesn't exist' moments.

I watch the TV show Trauma which is about medical first responders in San Francisco and every time that chopper has to fly to a scene I'm always wondering 'where the hell is this hospital?' They always seem to have to fly in front of some landmark. The other day they had to fly by the Golden Gate bridge to get to Alameda! WTF!

Course, if I flew a helicopter I would be buzzing all the scenic routes. But then my helicopter would be painted like the one from Magnum PI. Yeah baby.

I'd use Airwolf.
