can i start looting yet?

seriously though, my doctor advised me to buy some tamiflu. i'm touring australia, america, europe and mexico in the next few months. if i don't get it then i'll be very surprised. especially as my job involves flying, shaking hands and having thousands of people around me.

The national breakdown of confirmed cases at 5 am on 11 June 2009 is: WA 29, NT 7, Tas 13, ACT 17, SA 17, Qld 68, NSW 101 and Vic 1011.I think you'll be fairly safe in Oz as long as you don't go to Victoria.

i'm not worried about dying. i'm worried about not being able to do gigs and losing money/fucking our career. my lungs tend to get very, very bad with this sort of thing and then i get rigors/hallucinations. not good for being on stage!

Sounds like the makings of a legendary gig to me.

No longer true (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8099832.stm), sadly. "The patient had underlying health conditions."

I wonder if the "Underlying Health Condition" was being treated in an NHS hospital

According to the news this morning she'd just had a very premature baby. Really sad. :(

Of course it she'd died of 'normal' flu in the same circumstances, like thousands of other people in the UK every year, it wouldn't be news.

Mexico City? By choice?

No silly, on business. Is there something wrong with Mexico City? :nervous:

I was asked whether I wanted a hire car while I was there. I politely declined. Istanbul has put me right off driving in foreign cities - you're all crazy and drive on the wrong side of the road.
