View Full Version : Which Job Would You Rather Have?

1. A job in which you are never right but are expected to be as people make life decisions based on what you say. You must make statements, in public, daily. However, if you are wrong nothing bad happens to you, because you are never right.

2. A job in which you are always right but no one listens to anything you have to say. You are expected to keep to yourself and not speak out. If you are ever wrong you will lose your job, but since no one asks your opinion you'll never have to give it.

ceteris paribus

Probably number 2. I'd take more out of being right, even if nobody listened to me, than being wrong and people making life decisions based on that.

Number 1 sounds like it has better promotion prospects.

no 3. A job that could end at any second in which nothing you do goes unscrutinised, every word you say is recorded and held against you and no matter how many people appreciate your work there are just as many people who absolutely hate you even though they've never met you. but with good travel opportunities.

Alright, I hate you too now, does that unbalance the equation?
