But hey ho. Pub quiz tonight.

Drekkus
13-05-2009, 14:16:25

Greg W
13-05-2009, 14:35:59
Yes. Yes, it is Drekkus.

Drekkus

One for the pub quiz memory banks: The Red Lion is the most common pub name in the UK:beer:

Japher

More commonly referred to as

"The Lead Brian"
"The Bread Byan"
or
"The pub"

MOBIUS

It wasn't the only reason I left!! My laptop charger has been playing up for ages and the other night it finally broke for good, so I can't use the interweb when I'm at home :(

MOBIUS
14-05-2009, 12:31:58
That's why you needed to go to the pub quiz!!!:(

MOBIUS

I'm very good to have in a pub quiz. I know the capital of every country in the world and all the capitals of the US states...

14-05-2009, 12:37:54
You would be useful!!! I keep tyring to do research every week, but the stupid quiz master doesn't ask the right questions!!!

Phil & I decided a little while ago, after one particularly dire night, that we'd never do the quiz when it's just us two. Last night our friends let us down, so we had to stay in :( Next week though!!

MOBIUS
14-05-2009, 12:42:23
I'll let you into a secret cheat about the capitals...

It's the first letter of the name of the place - so France is 'F', for example. I was amazed it was so simple!

Pretty cool, huh.:)

Drekkus
14-05-2009, 12:42:56

Alsie, i really only know one Phil, so you can do with a binary test: is it THE Phil or not.

I'll go with no? I don't know who Phil is on here, and I know my boy doesn't post here, so yes, I'm sticking with no. Final answer.

Drekkus
14-05-2009, 14:11:21

I thought you were in some connection with the Reading branche of CG?

alsieboo
14-05-2009, 14:12:56
No, but he does have Reading connections! He grew up there, supports their football team, his sales territory is there...

Drekkus
14-05-2009, 14:22:03

Greg W

Well.. My brother in law is Shagnasty. He worked with Simpleton. Simpleton introduced Shagnasty to CG. Shagnasty then introduced me to cg.

I do live fairly close to Reading too. But no other connection
