This e-mail just arrived:

Coffee machine is not working. We have called for service.

I'm sure as hell not doing any work now.

Bet you eurotwats never have to put up with crap like that.

We don't even have an appropriate smiley for situations like this.

:tizzy:

If the coffeemachine is broken at work, I go home

our time reporting system just went down about 30 minutes ago, and today is the day we turn in our timesheets - no one can print them out that hasn't already

I have. I get paid.

Coffee sucks! Tastes like dirty water. :vom:

I hate timesheets more than anything else in the world. You cannot possibly name something I hate more than timesheets.

Drekkus, what you say makes sense. As an alternative, I am going to suggest they unlock the liquor closet.

OUTRAGE!

I presume you are referring now to the fact the liquor closet is locked, as opposed to my suggestion that it be unlocked as compensation for the broken coffee machine.

Or just the thread title... :cute:

Hehe, I fixed the coffee machine (at least for me). I rebooted it.

Timesheets suck. Especially since there's no cost code for posting at CG.

We had a good piece of office outrage today, because HR sent down a message telling staff they could not enter into lottery syndicates with more than one co-worker, after it turned out that about 40% of the company was in a syndicate for this weeks' 110m Euro millions lottery.

That would suck if everyone won the lottery and quit on the same day... suck for them that is

Brilliant idea - a coffee machine running under windows.

Well that is one of several parts of that story I was laughing at. :D

The concept that half the company would resign at once, the lack of understanding of statistics, the statistics fail, the draconian measure...

Got some nice fairtrade stuff for the kettle in our kitchen. Otherwise there are several decent coffee shops nearby seeing as I work right in the middle of the University Campus...

fairtrade, what a pussy.

Peer pressure from being in the first 'Fairtrade Capital in the World'...

At least it means I don't have to buy the stuff. Just drink it.

Yeah, fuck fairtrade, let's screw those third world farmers for every half penny we can.

Fairtrade fair enough, but if it tastes like shit, I'm not going to drink it

Who was outraged by the ball splash? Your collegues?

MDA
08-05-2009, 12:47:31
if you have to ask, you probably don't have balls

King_Ghidra
08-05-2009, 12:48:59
a lot of splash and no balls

Drekkus
08-05-2009, 12:52:18
You were outraged at your own ball splash?

Funko
08-05-2009, 12:53:33
I'm going to try and use "a lot of splash and no balls" to describe a poster in the poly staff room.
