Deadline next Friday, the 17th.

This time we're trying a collaborative playlist, which means you add your songs to the playlist yourself.

Just drag them onto the existing list. I'll supervise and put them in a reasonably pleasant listening order at the end of the week.

Excellent.

09-04-2009, 15:42:02
Sounds interesting, mind new people getting involved (its time i get out of the sports and games forums)? Any particular theme?

09-04-2009, 15:58:09
The more the merrier and no theme, just add 3 songs you think people will like.

We encourage new people to join, in fact. Just about anyone will likely improve the ratio of good songs to bad songs, even a random-picking algorithm, compared to the current bunch of losers.

Oooh, I'm watching tracks drop into the list in real time!

That must look like the world's slowest and most abstract game of Tetris.

I'm totally snowed under at work and will have no time to look at this at home before I go to wales on Friday, so I'm going to miss this deadline. Sorry.

Oh come on, just throw us three tracks. Any three tracks.

I've only got three entries so far.

15-04-2009, 17:16:31
Yay! One more!

16-04-2009, 08:34:06
I'm sorry. Scabby made me do it.

Nice placement of the tracks, too. I'm going to keep them just where you put them.

16-04-2009, 09:06:12
Completely random. I was hoping someone else might stick some in before you saw them so I could get away with pretending they weren't mine.

16-04-2009, 09:07:34
I think once everyone's submitted you can turn the collaborative flag off?

Wow, this is looking real good now. I'm going to publish this tonight-ish, so any additional entries will have to come in by about eight tonight if that's alright.

Considering that the LWP tradition is for any track over 5 minutes long to get moaned about, there's some brave selections there. 9 minutes? 10 minutes?

Thank god for the linear skiparound feature, eh?

Anyway, I'm closing this now, track listing coming up.

Interesting assertion about Brits and Cheap Trick, Laz. Especially since you pretty much invented (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilx0KvBnZlY) that kind of music and since there were lots of British bands doing pretty much the same thing Cheap Trick were doing at pretty much the same time:

Yes. But (and this is crucial), the British bands were not, in fact, Cheap Trick.

I don't make the rules. I merely comment on them. The British just don't get Cheap Trick.

Cheap trick was my choice, I am from Britain-land so, Ha!

I'll be honest and I would hardly call myself the greatest fan, but I like that track.

Comments to follow when I can get my head straight...

Any more reviews coming up?

Yes. Definitely. As soon as I can listen. Stupid work.

I've finally started to get into the habit of collecting tracks for future iterations.

23-04-2009, 22:58:54
I might do some reviews sometime too.

First playlist I made was my options playlist for LWP etc.

Well, I've started one now, because I had four tracks to choose between last week. It's currently got 21 tracks on it.

24-04-2009, 13:58:54
I am also ready to go whenever.

24-04-2009, 14:01:14
gonna try and get involved in the next one. i'm a bit miffed i missed this one.

i'll try and make time.

24-04-2009, 14:12:48
You can still listen/review...

I quite like that we're ripping through these quite fast though.

24-04-2009, 14:23:13
i won't have time to listen to anything for a while. i'd rather listen in one go so i have some perspective.

24-04-2009, 14:28:44
Too much fucking perspective.

Your turn to start a thread, perhaps? There's practically no work involved with these collaborative thingies.

Out of interest, did everyone get that I put Ice Ice Baby on 'cause of the first line?
