Why the hell do we say "Last Night" to mean the night previous to this day or night, but we say yesterday to mean the day previous to this day or night?

My 3 year old daughter says "Last Day" and I'm not correcting her. In fact, I'm starting a movement to ban the work yesterday from the English/American language. You brits can use it, because you're all butcher the language already.

Anyway, that's my rant for the day. See you Next Day.

I use yesternox rather than "last night". You and your newfanglisms.

It can be difficult. No matter how many times you slam their heads into the wall, they never seem to feel it!
