By the way, the small churches are the best ones.

Funko

That's just what they tell the vicars who have spire envy.

Oerdin
27-03-2009, 16:08:33
I like big ones (pun away).

Japher
27-03-2009, 16:08:45
for what? kindling?

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:09:56
That's a euphemism not a pun O.

Oerdin
27-03-2009, 16:11:22
I was trying to channel my inner funko but it isn't working. :(

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:11:39
Still euphemism.

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:14:37
your calling it an euphemism it's an euphemism

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:15:50
Noisy will freak when he reads that post.

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:21:28
at least I got the apostrophes right

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:28:41
you're

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:29:52
nonono

subject: the action of "calling it an euphemism"
your action

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:31:31
then I have even less idea what you meant.

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:33:44
the fact that you called it an euphemism was an euphemism itself, as you could have defined it in a much harsher way

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:34:32
oh, blah, whatever

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:36:18
oh, wait, you were defining your own post, not O's one....

:clueless:

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:37:15
So, I interloped with and error, and I'm a bit ashamed

I Oh,erred-in

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:40:26
Let's just pretend these posts never happened.

Tizzy
27-03-2009, 16:40:56
What posts?

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:42:47
well, should pretending fail, I can delete
:D

EDIT:

are you pretending you don't have me on ignore?

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:45:22
I am too lazy to ignore anyone.

MoSe
27-03-2009, 16:48:08
OTOH, you could explain to me what has actually happened, lest I might fall in it again the same way at first chance

Funko
27-03-2009, 16:51:49
I have absolutely no idea.

I was trying to explain to Oerdin that any response to "I like big ones" would not be a pun, but a* euphemism. In fact, any attempt to respond with a euphemism would also be a PHd because I like big ones already was a euphemism.

I have no idea what you were talking about.

*I think because euphemism sounds like a y sound as in your, it's a rather than an, Noisy please confirm either way.

The Mad Monk
28-03-2009, 12:59:53
It was more of a double entendre anyway.

Apart from that, I have no idea what Funko's on, because none of his posts made sense.

MoSe
30-03-2009, 08:25:29
anyway, could we classify "spire envy" as innuendo?

The Mad Monk

It's not in my endo.

an Oerdin

unless you pronounce it:

a Yooure-din

There is a Youredin on a tree branch outside my church.
The Youredin likes a big one.
