Sunshine and snowfall here.

So I guess it's April.

And to counterpoint the stunning wit shown in the earlier thread title ...

I presume we're talking about Zebedee (http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00033/F_200704_April17ed_i_33576a.jpg) here?

I planted some stuff in the yard this weekend. I'll probably have to cover it at night for a few more weeks in case there's a frost. Also trimmed 5 full bags of leaves and branches off the whomping holly bush. No that's not a euphemism, but it should be.

Damn nice to work outside again.

Also: finished kitchen renovation but for some touch up work on the paint and a small hole near a light switch I needed to make to get at the wiring. Fucking support beam for the second floor was hidden behind a bulkhead we were going to get rid of (wife insists its called a bulkhead, I don't argue because she's right in all instances that don't involve giving driving directions). Had to order three new cabinets and eat the cost of two others. Still saved thousands by doing the demolition, rewiring/new wiring, and replacing the drywall ourselves. Old wiring was definitely not code. Odd for a 15-20 year old house, I think. New wiring is probably not code either. I don't know code, but I recognize lazy, cost cutting, marginally safe wiring practices.

Only minor knuckle wounds and nose/lungs full of dust from sanding the drywall seams. One mouse turd shower in the face when I moved some insulation, but no Hanta. It did inspire me to wear eye protection.

Let this thread drop to page two, already. I can't stand seeing that damned 'its' without its apostrophe!

Oops. Its changeable threw the edit screen, but it doesn't actually change.

Zebedee looks like a Jibba-Jabba with added bling to conceal it's true nature.

I was musing...

imagine there's a Company which renews their Board every Quarter, going with seasons...

a new Board just took charge last friday:
would that be the Spring Board?

Yes, she said forward. She needs a one that tells you which weekend it happens?

Why bother? Most clocks set themselves these days so let them figure it out.

A Blizzard just buried Denver, is expected to dump two feet of snow in central Kansas tomorrow, and may hit Kansas City with around a foot on Saturday.

I get a winterdepression when spring doesn't start when it's supposed to. :(
