I laugh at people who get snow and ice.

I love that the entire country was shut down. Apparently London doesn't even have snow plows.

we don't. we probably even invented them. our solution is to throw salt and grit at cold roads.

You're supposed to do that after you push the snow off to the side. Then you can create these giant mounds of snow that turn into this awesome grey-brown icy mush. It's truly a beautiful site after the snow has been lying around beside the roads for a few days.

I've just told my school I'm not coming in.

Every school within 10 miles of here is closed but the one I work at (about 20 miles away), is staying open.

Birmingham council havn't even gritted the residential streets, only the main routes. As a result I can't actually get the car to the main road. Theres been three crashes on my road (one of which was my girlf who slid a company car into three parked cars).

The road is basically three inches of compacted ice and is hard enough to walk on let alone drive. No way am I risking taking the car anywhere today. if they had gritted the side streets I probably would have made it. As they havn't then I'm staying put.

This is the worst snow for 18 years. The last time we had anything like it I had a snowball fight on the way home from school. That wasn't even as bad as this, the school was open.

About 30 people out of 95 made it into work yesterday. I was one of the few. We were treated like some kind of heroes and were bought pizza and donuts. Pretty good day all things considered.

Hmmm, it's a bit difficult to say I can't make it to work when it's only a 20 minute walk away...:(

Still, walking through the park was beautiful.:)

Yeah, no one has been in the office the past couple of days, especially as I have to drive to Gatwick to get to the office.

But as I mentioned, not such a big deal for us as I work from home a lot or remotely a lot of the time anyway.

You could ask people to throw it at you when you're on stage.

protein

that would be quite an act.

You would have to rename your band to Frozo, though.

The snow today was ridiculous. So wet it turned to ice instantly when you stood on it, then to slush.

Fucking snow! Why didn't we get any!?:(

One really good dumping on the monday night but mostly gone by the time I'd finished work Tuesday.

We had a bit Wednesday night and all I got was a chance to throw a few measly snowballs when we left poker. Bastards!

I think it is an anti Welsh thing - England has been vitually ground to a halt! It's not fair!
