Funny again, I'm going to run out of fingers to count on soon.

It's cold here too.

here it has been snowing several times in the last two week
just when it looked like it would melt away, each time it got down some more

tonite it came down about 30 cm (a foot) or more
I tried to get out of the garage by momentum, but I just have a plain forward traction light car without snow tyres or gear
the snow was too high and it piled under the car front, blocking it
my box is at the end of our box lane, and it took me more than one hour shoveling to free it and get up the exit ramp

I got drenched in sweat, panting breathless, exhausted, shoulders aching and blistered palms
what a way to resume work after holidays

Freezing rain. It was too dark this morning to take a decent picture of the ice covered tree in our front yard, but it would have been cool.

Maybe not as cool as the smoke, no one was having sex in the tree.

Warm here

Funny, it's been really cold here too ("colder than parts of Iceland and Greenland apparently"), but I swear the flat has been relatively warmer than when the outside temps were warmer.:clueless:

07-01-2009, 13:24:36
Because everyone in the flats around you has their heating on max.

Hot, hot and hot. 3 days of 30 degree plus temps, then on my day off, back to windy and cold.

Is it proper to comment on today's weather in yesterday's weather thread?

Please respond asap -- the issue is eating me alive.

That would be absolutely improper.

So feel free.

I first read "it was too cold" and thought that was funny.

We've had proper English weather for long streches at a time. twice in the last month we've got 3 consecutive days without sun. Rains about every other day. Fog in the morning until 10:30.

It sucks.

Ah, summer.
