I'm going to explain all in jokes from now on for new posters.

mr_B had a book that translated English phrases for Dutch people. The entry this refers to goes something like this:

What the English say:
"that's very interesting"

What the Dutch hear:
"oh wow, that's great he finds me really interesting"

What the English mean:
"Oh god please stop talking to me about fucking architecture you boring man! Where can I get a gin and tonic?"

mr_B
08-12-2008, 15:42:57
gin tonic and ham and eggs

Funko

ham and eggs sounds like the Roosendaaler slang for nothing so "what's for breakfast?" "ham and eggs" is hilarious.

Although if you tell that story to someone else from Roosendaal* they are likely to be really confused and it'll take them quite a long while to understand.

Roosendaal* is a tiny little redneck town in Belgium where Mr_B and Drekkus come from.
