At the risk of spoliing this and being a geek i should point out that's a manip (hence the worth1000.com tag) designed to make it look like a pokemon called Cubone.

What's a pokemon?

That's not posturing, incidentally. I've heard the name bandied about, but never paid much attention.

Sure it is. If you'd reacted normally to encountered ignorance in an area that's fairly general knowlege, you'd not have posted the question but instead googled it. Which, I guess, is also a kind of posturing, but not the annoying "I'm ignorant, look how alternative I am" kind.

Anyway, Pokemon are creatures from an old Gameboy game where you have to collect dozens of the buggers and make them fight each other. It's since been successfully relaunched as a collectible card game, a saturday morning cartoon and a line of toys.

Oh fuck off. I'm 37. It passed me by. I asked what it was in innocent curiosity, and then thought "Oh crap. Some pillock's bound to accuse me of trying to be cool about it." Hence the next post. And if that offends, hurry up and menstruate.

that's interesting: wouldn't you think that in the most recent trends, you google something to find resources or news, but for reference and information wiki has overtaken google by now?

The name Pokémon is the romanized contraction of the Japanese brand, "Pocket Monsters" (Poketto Monsutâ)

Being the same age as Laz, I admit I confused them with that other japanese stuff, the little critters that you had to take care off or they croaked and you lost the game.

Just wondered that the squirrel looked way too tough for that.

Yes- I made exactly the same mistake, which is why the pokemon comments were lost on me.

Bob

that's what kids are for. They tell you more about pokemon than you would like to know.

A bit like KG
