At the bus today a young women saw an elderly gentleman standing and kindly offered him her seat.

Yes - that elderly gent was me.

They don't do that over in Toronto. I stand next to elderly folks all the time on the streetcar while some white UofT student listens to gangstah rap on his new iPod taking up a whole row of seats.

It's an interesting dilemma though. Some people get offended when I offer my seat. If they get offended I shove their cane straight up their ass. You can't have talkback.

The whole thing is an issue for people with an ego problem.

I'm beyond that, I'm happy to get a seat ...

I've even disguised myself as an old person with the express purpose of getting a seat...

In my vision of this scene RedFred thinks, 'oh this young woman is checking me out, woo, still got it!' and then she offers him her seat.
