Not talking about 20,000 lines showing 4 color map or the like. But what was the most recent proof of a decently important (however you define that) thereom. Doesn't nescesarrliy need to be exactly a proof per se. Might just be a derivation of an analytical solution to an integral or a Diff Eq or what have you. Are there still any simple gems left to be found? Or are they all mined out? And if so, what was the last rock out of the quarry?

I proved that P != NP the other day, but I threw out the napkin.

maths is boring and difficult and done in grey rooms by people with poor social skills.

there are no exceptions to this rule.

Poly sucks
proof by self-evidence
it would be absurd that it wouldn't suck

you don't need any more numbers than: one, two, three, a few, some, several, lots, loads, shit loads and too many.

i.e:

alan: "how many people bought t shirts?"
dave: "some. how many crowd surfers were there?"
alan: "some."
dave: "sweet."

In general "dunno" is good answer when it comes to numbers
