View Full Version : Yesterday morning...

15-08-2008, 18:39:44
Yesterday morning my father passed away after a 14 month battle with Lung Cancer. :(

My dad was able to spend his last few weeks at home - which I think he was really happy about.

Goes without saying it's been a tough year and the last few months have been particularly trying (especially so for my mum) as my father's condition slowly detriorated.

Bit sad here at the moment, but happy that it's finally over for everyone - especially my dad.

So I hope this explains my scarcity and excuses the state of disrepair of the forum (and the lack of poly-style bannings too!). It wasn't just me being a lazy bum afterall. ;)

Looking forward getting the site back on track and to the annual September-ish London Counterglow meet. Yes that's a hint!

Sorry Will.

But your dad definitely would have wanted you to fix the search functionality.

That's really sad to hear but I'm glad he spent the last few weeks at home and being with the people he loved most.

God bless.

It doesn't help but I know how you feel right now. The relief is a strange feeling. Hope you are ok. :(

This place helped me with it's pointless banter and mind-numbing stupidity so I owe you one for creating the place for when I had my loss.

It is sad and uniquely upsetting to loose a parent.
Good luck to you and your Mum.
