Coffee rocks, coffee haters are like tibet lovers. Why don't you go there if you don't like coffee. I'm sure you will "like" it.

Beware, just like Geroge Clooney in the ad, you'll think that girls are there to visit you, instead they'll only be there for the coffee....

"Of course, Nespresso. What else?..."

Rooibos is not tea.

JM^3
11-08-2008, 18:52:27
Not for small definitions of tea. But it tastes really good.

And you brew/steep it.

I have read that in africa they have rooibos lattes and espressos even.

Honestly, currently anything more caffienated than a cup of green tea makes me unable to think.

I could take caffeine pills and live without coffee....
...maybe even withoutcoffee cookies or coffee toffees
but not without coffee ice cream and coffee liquor

Greg W

Tea apparently has more caffeine that coffee anyway.

MDA
12-08-2008, 14:36:23
depends on the coffee/tea and how they're brewed, I think

Funko
12-08-2008, 14:37:25
FALSE!

Tea generally contains half as much caffeine as coffee per cup.

Funko
12-08-2008, 14:39:10
x-post, false was to Greg.

MDA is correct but your average coffee will be twice as high as your average tea.

JM^3
12-08-2008, 14:41:30
and green tea is generally even less than black tea

despite me not being able to drink much caffiene, I still love the taste of coffee, and get decaf occasionally

A coffee shop near where I work has one of these. It is really cool how it makes a single cup by using a kind of combo vacuum pot and French press and the walls have holes so tiny you will never get any coffee grounds in your cuppa the way you sometimes do with a French Press. Plus it is interesting to watch the first few times though waiting 2 minutes for your individually brewed cuppa does get a little old. Americans are an impatient people.

Well...I was sat there waiting for the bus and this guy just started talking to me, then the bus came, he sat next to me and he asks all these 'insightful' questions, and then we get onto careers, and he starts suggesting other options for me. Prostitution eventually comes out, and I tell him it's tempting, just tricky finding paying customers, in a jokey way, and then he carries on that for a minute, then asks me what I'm doing tonight! I pretended I didn't realise he was asking to sleep with me for money and just told him I was busy. not sure if I should have been offended or not by that!!

Oerdin

no wonder people in britain don't like coffee, because we got so preoccupied with tea we forgot our long coffee heritage and can't make it any more. you buy a cup of coffee in the uk and it tastes like burnt paracetamol. as soon as you get to the mainland you get beautiful nutty, chocolate-vanilla, cinnamon tasting coffee.

hmm. might have a dutch service station coffee a bit later.
