A major national newspaper in Canada called it a potential "movie of the decade"

Kids movie or not, I gotta see it. Johnny5 kicked ass.

Well, you did like the Indie movie, so I guess kids' movies are right up your street...:p

It's got 98% after 86 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It's not necessarily a kids movie.

Figures you'd be too pussy to even consider liking something that wouldn't be seen as cool. You're like a British version of Oerdin.

I want to see it. It does look rather special.

I wasn't as good as the hype, but not bad at all.

I thought it was more of a commentary on being "wired in" all the time and becoming a mindless consumer. Fat was the consequence, "not thinking" or just a complete lack of curiosity was the cause.

Those characters never looked at anything outside their little heads up display. Not themselves, not other people, not the pool.

We've got giant stickers of Wall-E + Eve in our house, they're so cute! Still haven't seen it yet though

I liked it.

It was like "Silent Running" in that it made little featureless robots hugely charming. Far more so than those "Star Wars" buggers.

I'm still in the process of litigation against Disney for this movie. Sue the bastards.

Saw this last night now it's finally on Sky, was really good. Hard to live up to "movie of the decade" tag though.

great movie
the first half is close to perfection
second half still very good, but more "common"

Up was outstanding, but only the (again silent) 10 mn of summary of Carl Fredericksen life approched the first half hour of Wall-E.

Maybe it's just that we're not used to see silent movies any more. Very powerful, very poetic. Doesn't allow for any ounce of mediocrity.
