Do people in London get drunk at work a lot? I say this 'cause I deal with a lot of London traders, and they'll still work at ~7/8/9pm their time, but they sound smashed a lot of the time. There's a distinctly different personality from everyone in London before and after lunch...

Second, some London guy just sent the ENTIRE COMPANY the following mail:

Subject: OMFG

Body: wow, apologies for the spam. but OMFG, if you *ever* get the chance to see Delerium live. see them.

i have to admit, i was expecting a quiet night of low-key ambient music with a few vocal highlights, but boy could i have ever been more wrong. the openers were great (a mix of home brew electro-pop and a dj) and the main attraction was hit after hit after hit. and of course the highlight had to have been Thirsk's euphoric rendition of McLachlan's Silence. that alone was worth the price of admission.

in short, if ever given the chance to see this band live. do it, you won't regret it.

cheers.

If by traders you mean people working in the City, yes, there's a big drinking culture although it's supposedly calmed down a lot from the really ridiculous days of the 80s.

Still goes on though, 44,000 on lunch?
