During the anthem in the last series? Someone mentioned something in this crap telecast 'bout it.

That sucks.

Torching cars, booing the American anthem...since when were Quebecois uppity?

I'm totally against this. Especially because there are fucking Americans on the Canadiens. It's disrespectful and repugnant. Sorry for that, Smolinski and Higgins.

Though I might note that the last time I went to a Habs-Caps game some of the Caps fans around me booed "O Canada". They were properly abashed when I told them to shut their fucking mouths. :)

EDIT: Komisarek and Bouillon too. Fuck ignorant assholes everywhere.

It's a pretty stupid thing. Doesn't stop morons from doing it.

Against SJ a couple years ago, a few dim bulbs in the crowd at Rexall bood the American anthem. The next game in SJ there were loud boos of O Canada.

There was some concern about game 6 back at Rexall. Better natures prevailed. The crowd sang the American anthem and continued to do so for the rest of the playoffs.

I don't recall anyone booing the American anthem in Calgary...but then again, about 10% of people in Calgary are American and everyone else works for an American company, so... :)

Meh. They really shouldn't have the anthems before every game anyway.

I'd prefer they played Funky Town (Toronto), The Hockey Song (Calgary), YMCA (Vancouver), Let's Get Retarded (Ottawa), My Heart Will Go On (Montreal), and Achy Breaky Heart (Edmonton).

I'd vote for that.
