Just so the record is clear, I actually believed your underwaterbridgebuildingsorrryass was gonna to be at the RT early on Saturday. So I showed up early because, well, because it beats doing [most] stuff with wimmins and they have lots of beer at the pub.

Biggest disappointment is Tizzy not telling Funko she needed to get out a bit and would be back shortly, and then redefining shortly. Real men might get dislocated shoulders, but if it interferes with drinking (ok, maybe, just maybe, depending on the who, what's and where's, with sex), they will saw their entire shoulder off, marinate it in a local beer, feed it to 3 day old maggot infested lambs, and feast on lamb chops at the local pub over a pint.

CG was well represented. Other than Beta, Provost Harrison and lolthemanagement, I'd have a drink with any of you any time. Oh, and other than Venom, of course.

Anyway, with the dollar like it is, London is godawful expensive. This will pain Venom, but I have to agree with Simon.

Oh no... I did almost send you a PM saying "you know he's not really coming right?" but I thought it was too obvious. :o

I tried to persuade Tizzy to go without me, but she wouldn't have any of it.

If it'd been this weekend or even the 12th I think I'd have made it, but at that point the shoulder was pretty painful (broken not dislocated, I split my clavicle horizontally so a little flap sticks up like a tongue) and I was worried about people bumping into me especially on the tube/leicester square. Plus I couldn't drink then anyway 'cause of the painkillers.

Hey Lurkertje we will meet next taaim so you can spill some beer on me.

I got a text from Nav asking where we were. When I said we wouldn't make it he replied "mr_G is very disappointed"

I'm surprised Nav could type a coherent sentence.

So how long did you sit there by yourself?

Lurker the Second

Probably an hour and 45 minutes before Beta showed up. I did eat lunch though. All in all you can't complain about spending too much time in a pub.

Turns out I did post something to just check he didn't think MrG was really coming.

When are you coming over to Holland, Lurker, so we can have a proper meeting?

And yes, mrG called me for Mike's number, so he could say he couldn't find the pub. Too which I replied: So you DID go??

I don't think he actually knows. Might know the city. No way he remembers how to get there. I saw him try to walk back one day. He was way off.

He struggles to find his own apartment on the way back from the airport.

and here are the directions to his apartment from the airport:

Exit airport, turn left, go straight until you get to his apartment.

okok when you see a pink building at a circle way, walk uphill, then at the next crossing go left.
walk till you see a pub (one were you never went into, if you see one were maike drank a cola then walk on walk on) make a Uturn for 100m go left. this is the street where T&F live, go and find a fine garden where english friends can puke in.
there it is.

Funko
18-04-2008, 09:56:01
The English friend puked outside the front of the house not in the fine garden, but other than that, jesjes.

He hasn't really mentioned the little shimmy you need to take going past the BBBs, and he's going all the way to Queens Road rather than cutting along the canal, but it's a valid route.

jj it was the way i walked from your house to the station the last time I was in Reading.
he Uturn is referring on the walk back from football, when i accidentally forgot to take a right turn
