Utterly brilliant. I've no idea why Spain has suddenly started producing the best ghost stories on the planet, but I'm certainly grateful for the fact.

It's close to "The devil's backbone", but even creepier. Great, old-fashioned chiller material that relies on an insidious atmosphere of growing dread rather than cheap shocks.

I agree entirely. I wouldn't say it was 'utterly terrifying' as some reviewers said but had a compelling story and i've haven't felt so creeped out about a ghost story since The Woman In Black. Reminded me a bit of The Others. Want to see The Devil's Backbone by the same director but it hasn't arrived via Lovefilm.com yet!

Awesome! Ultimately predictable, but awesome nonetheless...:bounce:

Too scared to see it, but my housemate says it's very good, and I want to see how it compares to Pans Labyrinth, but scary scary
