No, I like the EU as a concept but it has plenty of flaws. Even if it was perfect I'd don't think I would pledge allegiance to it or anyone or anything.

When I was in Cubs and Scouts we had to do stuff like pledge allegiance to the Queen. It was pretty meaningless.

I'd say it then, unless I could get away with just keeping quiet. But I guess like a lot of people, only because it was easier than making a fuss about not saying it.

If I could get away with it I'd just keep quiet, like when it's a church wedding or funeral or whatever and I just keep my head down and keep quiet for the hymns and prayer bits.

The BBC Have Your Say has brought a lot of angry Scots out into the open. Needless to say, they don't like the idea.

I'm surprised actually, virtually no-one thinks it's a good idea. I thought there'd be some die-hard old school Tory types saying it was a great idea.

A few mental "Well the lisbon treaty means we'll be EU citizens as it makes the EU a country." people but they make any issue into an EU rant.

I find the idea that everyone doesn't do this already pretty disturbing to be honest.
First thing in the morning, last thing at night, and when i'm in the bath.
