After months of rumours, My Bloody Valentine have confirmed their return to the live stage for three dates next summer.

The band will play the ATP presented shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow; full details below:

June
20 London Roundhouse
28 Manchester Apollo

July
2 Glasgow Barrowlands

Tickets? They go on sale from 9am tomorrow, the 16th of November. They will be available from all venue box offices and seetickets.com; priced between 22.50 and 25.

This news will give more push to rumours that the seminal act are to finish and release a new record - first reported on DiS here, more chat abounded when Kevin Shields did this interview with VBS.tv last week:

Given the speed they usually act at, announcing they're playing the shows now means they'll be taking the stage early in 2019, with a new album following in the third quarter of 2603.

People are speculating that the dates indicate they're a pretty safe bet for Glastonbury too.

I note they haven't updated their band photo since about 1989. Last time I saw Debbie Googe she looked about 60.
