View Full Version : The Perils of Immigration

So I'm at Bojangles the other day. The lady at the cash register manages to speak enough english to put my order in. So I move down the line to pick it up. My friend is with me and he's already picking up his stuff. He needs to get a cup of hot water for his wife (it involves baby stuff, don't ask). So he's asking for a cup of hot water and is getting a confused look from the surely legal immigrant handing out the orders.

After about 9 tries the lady brings him a cup of ice water. So now we're both saying "No. A cup of hot water."

Lady just keeps saying "No Nintendo. No Nintendo". So I yell at her "What the hell does Mario have to do with any of this?!"

Why didn't you hit her?

Because then I would be banned from Bojangles and i would have to kill myself.

Yeah. I had to break out the 10 year old Spanish to successfully get a cup of hot water because this dumb bitch couldn't understand hot water, even when we told her cold water wasn't right.

We should have played charades, that would have been even better.

Do you think smiley charades would work as a forum game?

maroule

My favorite local geothermal hot spring resort is called, most cunningly, Agua Caliente. The geothermal hot springs are nice though. Especially if you go in the winter time as it is fairly high up on a mountain. Nothing like stepping out of the snow into 110 degree water.

I've been following all you knuckleheads around the internet now for about 9 years or so. I read here all the time, but I take laziness to the ultimate level when it comes to the computer and typeing.

I just have a hard time being bothered. It seems like work to me, and I bust my fuckin ass on the job 12 hours at a time.

The computer is more for me to read and laugh and enjoy others without doing much to interrupt my relaxing. ( read that as interrupting my laziness)

Sorry for being a lazy shit. Thats me. :p

By the way, you'd need to make both of those plural to be correct. Aguas Calientes instead of Agua Calientes. Aguas Calientes = Hot Waters. Agua Caliente = Hot Water.

At 110 degrees it must be superheated and vapourised. I wouldn't want to step into it.
