Sky channel 111 is now called Dave. It's called it on the TV Guide and has a little channel ident logo in the top right hand corner. Apparently it's also Freeview channel 19... which used to be UKTV Brightideas... I knew that one was going off air.

Anyway it caused Tizzy much amusement yesterday when we discovered it.

I blame Bossman.

We have that too.

Morgan told me about it the other day when I wasn’t really paying any attention, and thought she was joking anyway (we have a running joke about all things ‘Dave’ – don’t ask!).

Yesterday I said “oh look, we’ve got a channel called ‘Dave’” and got into trouble...

Bloody Dave.

can you 'speak' to "him"?

- I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
- Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?
- I'm afraid, Dave

Can you 100-0 an expletive question?

MoSe

but then, why not?
You have interactive TV channels already, and cell phones you can operate by voice orders rather than digiting on buttons, so, why not?

You could speak to Max Headroom years ago, anyway

It's UKTV G2 with a new name. I thought they were taking the piss when they first trailed it.

So if it's off the air for any reason, do we say "Dave's not at home..."?

I think it's great they've called it Dave, I was reading this article in the metro that had something to do with humour and they had a quote from the head of Dave, I was very upset when I found out he was called Steve. :(
