View Full Version : Stupid Subway

Well, not Subway itself but a memorable conversation held in the one opposite the castle not even 24 hours ago…

I arrive mid way through a laborious discussion between a new customer and token Subway guy discussing the various merits of the different subs.

TSG “Blah, blah, blah, well instead of 6” you can have a foot long”
NC “How long is that?”
TSG “12””
NC “Oh, how much is that?”
TSG glances at menu, “Turkey, that’s £2.30…” looks at ‘Add £1.80 for upgrade to foot long’ and stares blankly for five seconds. Screws up face and looks harder for another five seconds when suddenly a light comes on in his mind…!
TSG “Hang on a second, I just need to check…” walks to till and says “£4.10”
BHG (bemused hungry guy – me!) leaves because he knows that this crashing stupidity was only the beginning of the famous Subway production line experience…
