Arsehole- I notice that you sent Rich an e-mail today.

Gimp- Yep.

Arsehole- Right. Well as it's National customer service week you have to pay a 50p fine.

Gimp- Fuck off.

Arsehole- Hahahahahaaha. No, you see it's all about promoting the value of face-to-face communication, you see?

Gimp- Fuck off.

Arsehole- It's OK. It's all going to charity.

Gimp- Fuck off.

Arsehole- This has all been agreed by divisional management, you know.

Gimp- Would you like to continue this discussion through the union?

Arsehole- I don't think we need to take it that seriously.

Nope. There are very few classes of protected people and it is incumbent upon the plaintiff to prove that they fit into one of those protected classes and that the discharge was a result of them being in one of those protected classes. As long as the employer has a reasonable excuse then it is very difficult to prove other wise.

Basically you must prove that your discharge was a result of your age, sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, or national origin. If the employer has any remote excuse, such as unprofessional behavior, then you are toast.

Anyway, it was a graduate management trainee.

They're fuckers, aren't they? Constantly coming up with grand projects designed to display how ground-breaking and brilliant they are- which usually consist of doing the same old shit in a slightly different order and re-naming everything to subtley work in the graduate's name. Then asking you to feed back to senior management about how brilliant and ground-breaking you found it. And then getting indignant when they find out your feedback was "Please keep this irritating little cunt well away from anything remotely important in future."
