Apparently "Socks" did not win

Presumably "Shitbag" or something similar one.

What should we call the Counterglow cat?

Apparently, the moggy was due to be called "Cookie".

In another con for the viewers a new kitten will be cloned to have that name

According to what I read in the Guardian it was because someone at the BBC found it could be used as slang for female reproductive organs. It's a sad state of affairs!

Me too, I can't think of many things less offensive.

OK, I can't think of anything less offensive. :(

Even sock is more suggestive.

They should have called the cat "Less Offensive"

honest...
I was actually misinformed
:o
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trap&page=3

although, if you check #18.3...

but the best is #11 "Dude, that's a dude, dude."

see also
http://onlineslangdictionary.com/browse/c
the "coyote ugly" definition

I was closer to
http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/t.htm
trap off (Verb.) To attain a liason with a sexually desirable person. Also just phrased as trap.
