Dumb Einstein was wrong al along. Time to start saving for a Delorean!!

A pair of German physicists claim to have broken the speed of light - an achievement that would undermine our entire understanding of space and time.

According to Einstein's special theory of relativity, it would require an infinite amount of energy to propel an object at more than 186,000 miles per second.

However, Dr Gunter Nimtz and Dr Alfons Stahlhofen, of the University of Koblenz, say they may have breached a key tenet of that theory.

Easy, I do that every day

That would explain things

A lot of things.

That way I can tell people I finished a job before I actually started working

That's not speed of light, that's consultancy.

"an achievement that would undermine our entire understanding of space and time"

HA! Here the law of the slowing down projection comes into action!!

I don''t have any understanding of space and time, so any new view would not have to compete with a current one.

Drekkus' mind as a tabula rasa - who would have thought?

17-08-2007, 09:15:42
in this case, a rasant tabula

So now ze Germans think they have developed a Quantum Physics autobahn?

But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first

the back of my mother's hand used to move at 0.4 beyond light speed when I misbehaved

17-08-2007, 12:18:07
it first hit you THEN you saw it arrive

17-08-2007, 12:27:20
You got hit before you misbehaved. Happens to a lot of children.

It's called edufication!

Not to be confused with Idefixation. That's when you automatically start crying when a happy tree is chopped down.

Since they are tacking about 'tunnelling' photons, I suspect they may be seeing a a manifestation of the Hartman Effect, rather than FTL speed.

17-08-2007, 20:23:07
I don't think they actually went faster then the speed of light and instead were using worm holes.

i shot ur litesped up the cunt

20-08-2007, 12:35:40
i shot shcroedinger's cat...

20-08-2007, 12:47:05
that's just pure poetry:

i shot ur schroedinger's cat up the cunt

20-08-2007, 12:50:32
Did it survive?

20-08-2007, 13:02:58
I lost interest after I withdrew

20-08-2007, 14:44:26
no doubt some drekkus/cat hybrid now roams the streets of rotterdam

20-08-2007, 14:49:16
vleuten you meant, rotterdam is sooooooo 2006 for Drekkus

So they'll run against happy little trees in Vleuten.
