Seen bits of it before, heard lots of people talk about it before, but never seen it before last night.

I really liked it.

Good characters, good sense of humour, moves at a great pace, very fun and enjoyable overall.

I know some people here are big fans of it.

I thought it was a bit crap myself, but maybe because I assumed it would be more serious, when it's just a low brow scfi cartoon

Have to see it again, maybe

yeah it's very campy and very french, kind of Star Wars meets Eurotrash, so if you weren't in the right mood it might be anoying.

I think I had big expectations from Besson, at the time I really thought he was a first class director, and had been blown away by Nikita. It was noir, cynical, hard bitting, etc (or it looked so at my post teenage self, I'd probably be a lot less entousiastic would I have to swallow it again) and I wanted 5E to be the same...

Since I take my Scfi seriously (this is, for me, about the worst genre to be made into a comedy, with one or two glorious exception, like the trekkie parody with Rickman and Allen), let's say I was pretty non pulsed by papier maché look and feel of it. The scenario looked exactly what it was: written by a bored 12 years old (in our case, Besson himself)

I really liked it but I know at least 2 people who've described it as the worst and most annoying film they've ever seen.

Is this the film Tricky shows up in? Or am I thinking about something else?

Yup, that's the one.

I didn't like it much.

I very much like it. highly entertaining. Extremely campy.

Extremely hot Mila Jovovich wearing almost nothing the entire film.

I think it's quite fun.

It used to just piss me off though, as did Luc Besson's films in general. I think I read too many reviews which hailed his work as amazing genius, and so was always annoyed when my expectations of utter brilliance weren't met.

I liked it. Particularly Mila :)

Didn't really like it, Bruce seemed to be bored through the entire film.

I have mixed feelings about the movie. However, I don't think that there is much wrong with "Twelve Monkeys (1995)."
