I'm going to go with Rutger Hauer's Roy, from "Bladerunner". If you get through the film without thinking the wrong person survived, you have rocks where your heart should be. The final scenes where he's hunting and challenging Rord's character are unforgettable.

one of the best villain in the worst film was Rickman in the Costner Robin Hood. A clear instance of the villain being a lot more enjoyable than the hero.

yeah, rickman clearly knew the film was dire and hammed it up to the point that he totally stole the show.

In fairness, he does that in good films too. I think he's given up on the notion of subtlety.

The Emperor from Star Wars 6.

That guy was the most scarcastic man in the universe.

Dr. Evil.

Harry Lime in 'The Third Man'. Completely charming, superficially.

Yet also utterly amoral- anyone who can exploit a measles' epidemic to flog diluted penicillin is devoid of conscience.

I also nominate Ray Malcolm (played by Billy Bob Thornton) and Pluto (played by Michael Beach) in Carl Franklin's 'One False Move'.

Low rent psychopathic drug dealers prepared to stab, shoot and double cross to get what they want.

The first quarter of an hour of 'One False Move' had me agape at the cool, reasoned brutality of the duo, attempting to drag information out of Ray's girlfriend's acquaintances.

Who all end up dead, either stabbed or beaten and suffocated with clingfilm.

It beats Tarantino hands down.

Mola Ram in Temple of Doom.

Baddies don't come any badder than that!

I didn't realise he was called Mola Ram. The original Goat Lord?

I thought Tim Roth's character in the movie Rob Roy was an awesome villain.
